At 1994 Australian Grand Prix, Hill chased down his title rival Schumacher. Schumacher made a mistake and Hill got a chance to overtake him, but Schumacher turned into Hill, the two collided and both retired. Because Schumacher led the championship before the race, he won the title. The stewards regarded this as a race incident and took no action against Schumacher. This was one of the most dramatic moment to decide the championship winner.
