Information
This particular RX-8 is seen with the female character Neela’s (played by Nathalie Kelley) car in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. It is the only surviving genuine RX-8 built by Veilside and sent to Hollywood for filming between 2005 2006. Its participation in the movie is fully documented, including transport records to and from the U.S., confirming its authenticity.
The Veilside kit was styled by Veilside founder and designer Hironao Yokomaku. Newera Imports’ relationship with Veilside began with the development of the Fortune RX-7 and later expanded into cooperation for supplying cars to Universal Studios for Tokyo Drift. This RX-8 appeared early in the film, during the parking-lot drift scenes, and again during the mountain road touge sequence.
