This car was imported to Brazil by TVR when they decided that it would build a factory in the country, choosing a disused warehouse in Farroupilha, Rio Grande do Sul, for this undertaking. However, TVR temporarily suspended the construction of the factory. This generated a real dispute between some Brazilian states, such as Bahia, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina, to host the factory. In the end, TVR opted for Joinville, in Santa Catarina, but, unfortunately, the factory was never built and this car remained in Brazil.
