This 2000GT is built on chassis MF10-10231, a wrecked car whose roof had been crushed. The work is entrusted to a company specializing in convertible conversions located in Kyushu. Yawata wanted to supervise the work, so he had to make several plane trips to monitor the transformation, which took a year and a half to complete.
Modifications
A handcrafted replica of the Spider from the James Bond film lives in Japan. It is recognizable by its white fiberglass hood cover and its real black canvas top. Its owner is Masaki Yawata.
