This 2000GT is built on chassis MF10-10231, a wrecked car whose roof had been crushed. The work is entrusted to a company specializing in convertible conversions located in Kyushu. Yawata wanted to supervise the work, so he had to make several plane trips to monitor the transformation, which took a year and a half to complete.
