Information

For the 1967 Tokyo Motor Show , Toyota invited Twiggy to promote the 2000GT on its stand. It was the era of yé-yé, miniskirts, and sports cars.

Preferring her chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce, Twiggy left the car in a depot. After a month, Toyota offered to buy it back for a role in an upcoming series, ' The Ugliest Girl in Town .'
The car then went out of sight before being found in the early 1980s in the United States and becoming the property of Toyota USA.

From then on, it was exhibited alongside two other 2000GTs at the Toyota USA Automobile Museum in Torrance, California.

The Torrance Museum closed in 2017 and MF10-10130 was moved to Texas, to the new Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) facility. It is now on display in the Toyota Experience Center .

Modifications

Entrusted to Hill & Vaughn of Santa Monica for a complete restoration, it was sprayed in Ferrari red.
