Information
This car has an unusual history. Originally exported to South Africa, MF10-10131 was sold in 1995 and moved to England. Peter Nelsen, owner of the Cars of the Stars Museum, purchased it and had it transformed into a spider replica of James Bond's car. It then resided at the Bond Museum until 2011, when Nelsen's entire collection moved to Florida, to the Dezer Collection .
Michael Dezer owns a collection of approximately 1,800 vehicles housed in Miami's Auto Museum. In 2012, he opened a pavilion dedicated to the world of James Bond. To this end, he purchased Peter Nelsen 's collection in England for approximately $15 million. MF10-10131 is prominently displayed there, between Aston Martin and Lotus.
But Dezer is a businessman, and in February 2014, the collection was up for sale for £20 million ($33 million).
In 2021, Dezer moved to Orlando. The James Bond vehicle collection was exported during the move. It was on display at Beaulieu and then at the Petersen Museum. The Orlando Auto Museum opened in spring 2021.
