Information
Spare car, only raced once.
Owned by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason. In 2000s, this car was displayed at Donington Grand Prix Collection, with a chassis number plaque of TG184-02, which was Ayrton Senna's first podium car at 1984 Monaco Grand Prix. However, it was a fake plaque, the fonts were different from the real plaques. So the chassis was not the real chassis 02. This was further confirmed when the real chassis 02 was auctioned later. The plaque of this car at Donington was gone, and then the car was taken away.
At 2015 London Classic Car Show, a TG184 with identical look was described by Hall & Hall as chassis 01. The true identity of this car was gradually revealed, it's built around the monocoque of chassis 01 with some parts from other cars.
It's believed that this car was fitted with a fake plaque of TG184-02 by one of the previous owners, possibly to increase its value. Because chassis 01 was just a spare while 02 has significant results with Senna. And the reason of the disappearance of its plaque and later the whole car, could be the car's controversy was found, and the owner took it away from public eyes, rather than the plaque was stolen.
