This car is thought to have been the ninth of ten Swallow Doretti sports cars modified by Max Balchowsky and had Buick 364 Nailhead V8 engine installed. The present owner of this Doretti had a used car lot in Santa Ana, California in the mid-1970s and bought the car from Bill Koenig. While the condition of the car when acquired was fair, it was only driven a few times (less than 100 miles) before being laid up.
