Information
Built for 1971 season. Believed to be one of two cars used by Mike Hailwood for Team Surtees in the 1971 British series. This chassis number was on the TS9/TS8 used by John Surtees at the November 1971 Australian GP, after the prototype TS11 had been destroyed in a testing accident. Then raced by Hailwood in the January 1972 Tasman races in New Zealand until it was destroyed in an accident at Teretonga Park. Surviving components were used to build up a new Surtees TS11 in time for the Australian races.
