The first C8 built and the only one built in 1985.
Entered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1985 - driven by Dieter Quester, John Nielsen and Max Welti, it only appeared in practice. A massive accident, in which the car flipped, forced the Sauber team to withdraw the car. The car was later repaired.
