Information
Destroyed at 1999 European Grand Prix. In lap 1, Damon Hill's Jordan had a electrical failure, and Alexander Wurz's Benetton turned into Pedro Diniz's Sauber to avoid Hill. The crash sent Diniz airborne and the car flipped. The rollbar hit the grass, dig into the dirt and failed. Luckily Diniz was not injured seriously with only bruised shoulders and knees. This was a very scary and rare condition, since the rollbar is meant to protect the driver's head and neck in case of rolling over, it shouldn't fail and it didn't fail in most accidents. This kind of rollbar failure only happened again at 2022 British Grand Prix when Zhou Guanyu had a similar accident. Coincidentally, it was also a Sauber.
