During 1994 Monaco Grand Prix first practice, Karl Wendlinger lost control after exiting the tunnel, the car spun and hit the wall on side. The wall should be protected with barriers filled with water, but in fact there was no water. The hit knock Wendlinger unconscious, despite his vital signs were stable, he remained in a coma for several. The injury kept Wendlinger from race in 1994.
