Information
On July 13, 1937, the car was purchased by the Prince of Berar, son of the Nizam of Hyderabad, India, who ordered a special body from Windovers, a Cabriolet type, but adapted and filled with accessories for hunting: headlights, holder weapons, running boards and everything else, which ended up transforming this beautiful white painted body into an exotic and strange automobile.
With a view to welcoming Queen Isabel II, on her visit to Portugal in February 1957, the President of the Republic, Marechal Craveiro Lopes, decided to purchase a Rolls-Royce convertible. Harry Rugeroni is sent to England for this purpose, but as he is unable to buy the desired model again, he opts for the solution of using the Prince of Berar's old Rolls-Royce, which, having returned to London in 1950, had been purged of all the fantasies of Indian nobleman.
On March 28, 1957, the model received the license plate DD-30-92, starting to serve the Presidency of the Republic, having transported personalities such as President Eisenhower and Popes Paul VI and John Paul II.
This car was donated to the Caramulo Museum by the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic.
