At 1984 Monaco Grand Prix start, Ferrari's René Arnoux crashed into Derek Warwick in this car, Warwick crashed into the wall, and then his teammate Patrick Tambay. Warwick's monocoque got its front end torn off, his leg was bruised (again after French Grand Prix). Both Renault chassis were written off at Monaco.
