Information
Porsche '9R3 LMP2000' Le Mans Prototype
Developed between 1998 and 2000, but never raced.
Only one prototype was built with a modified version of Porsche's 3.5-litre V10 engine that was originally designed for Formula 1 in 1992, but the project was canceled before the car was fully built.
In July 2018, the car was seen in public for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of Porsche.
In October 2024 the car was revived by the same team that built it 25 years ago and rolled out by Allan McNish, the driver that drove it 25 years ago.
