Information
One of eight 959S discreetly delivered to Porsche Motorsport North America in August of 1988. The goal was to convince the federal government that the 959 was a race car, and therefore could be imported exclusively for track use. This attempt was unsuccessful, and all eight vehicles were forced to return to Germany. In the early 2000’s, the Show or Display law was passed and the 959 became eligible for special import to the United States. Most of the eight 959S from PMNA have since returned to the country.
