Information
In spring 2010, Porsche suprised visitors to the Geneva Motor Show with the Porsche 918 Spyder concept car as part of its hybrid offensive. The V8 of the plug-in hybrid was a further development of the 3.4-litre engine from the RS Spyder racing sports car. The modular monocoque and parts of the body were made of carbon fibre. Aluminium and magnesium components ensured low weight. In 2013, the 918 Spyder went into series production and with a system output of 887PS/ 875HP, it surpassed even the performance figures of this Geneva concept car.
