Information
Built on chassis 917-029 to replace the original 917-014, which retired after 1970 season (status of the original car is unknown).
Raced by J. W. Automotive Engineering in 1971 season - the car used the identity of 014 for carnet reasons.
Following this, it was rebuilt using the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans bodywork from chassis 917-031 and the engine from 917-029.
It has remained the property of the Porsche Museum ever since.
