Information
This RSR has an exceptional track record and a rich history of owners. Initially owned by Eugen Kiemele in 1973, it participated in no fewer than 23 races that year, a record for a 2.8L RSR, achieving several victories and podium finishes. It was subsequently owned by Raffaele Restivo and Alfonso Merendino in Palermo, through Paul-Ernst Strähle, and later by Roberto Chiaramonte and Salvatore Barraco, with whom it participated in four consecutive editions of the Targa Florio (1974-1977). In 1978, Raymond Touroul drove it in rallycross. The car then had several French owners, including Jacques Bochand and his son, before being restored by Raymond Touroul in the 1990s, then by Apex Classic between 2020 and 2024. It is now in the hands of Andrew Larson, having participated in the 2018 Rennsport Reunion, The Morgan Adams Concours d'Elegance in Denver in 2019, and Luft 10 in 2024.
