Mosler Automotive made an error in the check digit calculation and year digit in this vehicle's VIN. Upon the advise of the NHTSA/DOT, the VIN plate could not be changed. The vehicle was intended to be a 2009 model year, despite the VIN suggesting is it a 2008. Service records can be found listed under both the 2008 VIN that the vehicle wears permanently and the 2009 VIN that was never applied to the vehicle (1M94136BX9C682001).
