There was an attempt to convert this car into F3000. In 1989, Luciano Pavesi racing team fitted it with Cosworth engine and Avon tyres and tested the car at Vallelunga at the end of February / beginning of March. For that test, the driver was Luis Perez-Sala who scored a best time of 1.05.6 (F3000 pole time in 88 was 1.06.52). Dindo Capello was supposed to be the driver but the project was cancelled three weeks after Perez-Sala test because of a lack of sponsor.
Later this car was upgraded to B spec to race in 1989
