In 1993, German design house, Michalak Design, took a low mileage, 1989 Ferrari 328 gts and converted it into the Michalak Design Conciso. First shown at the 1993 Frankfurt Auto Show, it was shown and sold as a vehicle optimized for the track. What they had done was taken a Ferrari 328 GTS, stripped the entire car leaving just the drive train and running gear which they left alone.

From this base they created a body out of aluminum that had no doors, a windshield wrapping around the sides, and it was cut so low that you would need a helmet to be able to drive it anywhere. It also has black fenders with integrated headlights, and a slopping nose in the front. The interior was trimmed in leather and alcantara, with storage space for two helmets. All of this work cut the weight down by 30%, and was described as athletic, not an extra ounce .

The 32 valve V8 from the 328 gts produces 270 hp, which goes through a 5 speed manual transmission, and has a power to weight ratio of 4 kg/hp. That power to weight ratio gives a 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) time of 5 seconds with a claimed top speed of 278 kph (172 mph).

When first unveiled it was praised for looks and driving pleasure, with it even going on to win second prize at the Eurosign Design Award. It even got accolades from Paul Frère and Graf Görtz. With so much praise and fanfare they said it was production ready and waiting on orders. Sadly none more were made so all we are left with is this single concept.
