Information
The very last Magnette K3 built, this example was commissioned by an Italian driver for use in the Mille Miglia. Benito Mussolini, however, had banned the import of foreign racing cars and the K3 was never delivered. It was acquired instead by the Prince of Siam (Thailand) for his cousin Prince Bira. It was repainted in the White Mouse Racing Team colours from the original red and raced at Brooklands and Donington. After six outings with the MG with Prince Bira behind the wheel, the K3 was sold to Australia The MG continued to be raced by successive owners until the late 1950s. Between 1958 and 2009, it was in single family ownership during which time, it was shown in Thailand to honour the achievements of Price Bira.
