Information
On the night of August 27, 2016, the driver of this McLaren SLR struck two pedestrians - a man and a woman - on Berezhkovskaya Embankment in Moscow and fled the scene. The couple was crossing the road at an unauthorized location when the speeding SLR hit them. The woman was struck by the windshield and died at the scene from her injuries, while the man sustained severe fractures and was rushed to the hospital. The SLR was being driven by a 22-year-old resident of Ossetia who had already been stripped of his driving privileges. After hitting the pedestrians, the driver abandoned the wrecked supercar and fled the scene. The car has been restored and appears periodically in the city
