- First delivered in Germany but later imported to the US by original owner
- Only 10 bodies of the 826200 series were made this being the first
- Featured in the Spring 1957 issue of The Classic Car during Paul Hauck's ownership
- Pictured in 'Mercedes Benz The Supercharged 8-Cylinder Cars of the 1930s Volume 2' by Melin Jan & Hernstrom
- An article about the car was written by Dennis Adler for the October 1989 issue of Car Collector
- It returned to Germany in 1996 where the then owner (Alfred Richter of Lampertheim) drove it around 30,000 kilometers before selling it to Thomas Taffet in the US
- Ground-up restoration was performed by Tigard, Oregon
- 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance (Third in Class) and Best of Show at the 2015 Arizona Concours d’Elegance
