Information
The only W11 chassis (under W11 specification) to never win a Grand Prix.
Upgraded to W12 specification for 2021 season.
4-time race winner (under W12 specification) at 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix, 2021 Portuguese Grand Prix, 2021 Spanish Grand Prix and 2021 British Grand Prix.
Crashed during controversial Hamilton-Verstappen crash at 2021 Italian Grand Prix where Verstappen 'rode' on Hamilton's car. Thanks to the halo system, Verstappen's tyre just slightly pressed onto Hamilton's helmet without injury. This chassis never raced again, presumably due to the damage on roll bar and halo, which is a part of the chassis, during the crash. But it was repaired and used as a test car.
In 2026, with this chassis Mercedes arranged a private test at Silverstone for Doriane Pin, Mercedes' development driver and 2025 F1 Academy champion, this is her first F1 drive. This is also the first time of female driver driving a Mercedes F1 car, as well as the first F1 testing in modern car for F1 Academy drivers.
