Information
At 1994 Brazilian Grand Prix, Jordan's Eddie Irvine was lapping Ligier's Eric Bernard, but he didn't see Benetton's Jos Verstappen approaching. Irvine's overtake maneuver pushed Verstappen on grass, Verstappen lost control and took off Irvine and Bernard, as well as McLaren's Martin Brundle in front. The Benetton rolled over and hit Brundle's head, luckily he escaped from serious injury. Irvine was given a three race ban and $10,000 fine.
The McLaren chassis was never used again, probably written off in the accident, despite the hit was not mainly on the car.
