Information
MP4-29H/1X1, the H means Honda. This is the first McLaren powered by Honda engine since 1992 MP4/7. McLaren was switching to Honda engine in 2015 season, so they used this chassis as a test car to test Honda engine. After a shake down at Silverstone, the car took part in the post season test ay Yas Marina. However, it had many technical issues, and only had 6 untimed laps. Little did they know, this was only the start of McLaren and Honda's disappointing cooperation.
