Chassis originally destined for road car #019 but modified for use as an F1 GTR test car

Run by Lanzante Motorsport at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans (1st OA). Retired from competition use afterwards and retained by McLaren

On display at the McLaren Technology Center
It wasn't planned that this car would race the 24H of Le Mans as it was the test prototype for the McLaren F1 GTR. Owner of the ueno clinic in japan offered to pay for the car and a deal was made where the car would retain in McLaren's hands if it were to win the 24H of Le Mans race. It won, so Mr Sayama never got the car. instead he was given allocation for F1 chassis nr. 043
