Information
Sold new to Moody Fayed, which explains the Harrods sponsorship (Al-Fayed acquiring Harrods in 1985).
Run by David Price Racing in the 1995 and '96 BPR Global GT Series (driven by Andy Wallace and Justin Bell) and 24 Hours of Le Mans (95: 3rd OA, 96: 6th OA) (driven by Andy Wallace, Justin Bell and Derek Bell). For the season finale in China, the team secured backing from San Miguel and 06R was switched to a one-off red and white livery.
Following the death of Mohamed Al-Fayed’s son, Dodi (alongside Princess Diana), the Harrods backing ended and 06R was sold to Martin Veyhle Racing.
Run by Martin Veyhle Racing in the 1997 FIA GT Championship in a Silver and Black liver, failing to score points. The team later switched to an Elise GT1.
Following its racing career, 06R was sold to David Clark, who (at the time) was the Commercial Director at McLaren cars. David had the car road converted by Lanzante in 1997.
Restored by Lanzante in 2020 to 1996 chassis specifications
Currently in its 1996 4h Brands Hatch livery (2nd OA)
