Prototype VP811
Chassis #001: The first 600LT chassis produced and registered. RHD (as all McLaren's first chassis). The first prototypes were modified 570S chassis (codenamed MV602 and MV801). Registered on June 1, 2018, as a prototype under the codename 'VP811' (the first chassis with a 600LT model code - SBM13'RA') by the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, 2 months prior to the official launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Multiple pictures exist of the car in its camouflage wrap prior to the launch date. The first 600LT customer cars were delivered in Dec 2018. This car played a key role in the 600LT's development, specifically 'road validation' and the calibration of the chassis, brakes, and steering for road use.
