Information
8C 3000 Biposto. Likely initially supplied to Raymond Sommer for spares. Dick Merritt found the crankcase matching this car's chassis in the USA in the early 60s. Many other parts like the gearbox and oil tank were gathered by Maserati expert Peter Shaw while others like the chassis, front axle and two-seater body were made new for this 8C. This chassis might have been documented in the past in pictures or books but not its chassis nunber and racing history as well.
