Information
One of the March 86Cs sold to Team Penske, this car was extensively used during the 1986 season and finished 3rd overall with Rick Mears at the 1986 Indy 500. At the start of the following year it was decommissioned and served as a show car. With the latest Penske not yet bulletproof, it was pressed into service once more for Al Unser Sr.'s 1987 Indy 500 entry. After some of his rivals crashed out, 'Big Al' drove the year old machine to his fourth victory at the Brickyard. Now on permanent display in a place of honor at the Penske Racing Museum in Phoenix, Az.
