Information
Destroyed at 1982 French GP. Mauro Baldi, in the Arrows was overtaking Jochen Mass, in the March, Mass closed the door and two cars collided. The March rolled over and slid across the track upside down, hit the fence in front of a hill full of spectators, then the car caught fire. Mass got burnt in his hands and several spectators were hit too, but no one was seriously injured. If the car went over or through the fence, it could be a disaster. Jochen Mass retired from F1 right after the accident. The accident was almost identical with Zhou Guanyu's accident exactly 40 years later at Silverstone.
