Driven for Team Lotus by Alan Stacey and Tom Dickson, finishing the race after being dug out of a sandbank mid-race.
Sold by Lotus to South Africa, where it was raced for many years with success, and is well known to the Historic Lotus Register, regarded as having a complete, continuous history.
