During 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix, Pastor Maldonado exited from pitlane and hit Sauber's Esteban Gutiérrez who was going on normal line. The Sauber was flipped by the collide between tyres.
Repainted in Renault R.S.17 livery, fitted with 2015 Lotus E23 spec front wing as a showcar. Its left sidepod panel was cut to show the hybrid power unit.
