Chassis modified to accept the Coventry-Climax 1.5 litre flat-16 engine and dubbed the Lotus 39.
Planned to be used in Formula One, but the project fell through and ended up being used in the Australian Tasman series with a Conventry-Climax 2.5 litre FPF engine.
Fitted with a 2.5 litre Repco-Brabham engine under first ownership.
Fitted with a 1.5 litre Ford-Lotus Twin cam engine under second ownership.
Restored to Conventry-Climax 2.5 litre form under fourth ownership.
