During 1961 season, Jim Clark used this car to win the 1961 South African Grand Prix, 1961 Rand Grand Prix and 1961 Natal Grand Prix events, his first Formula 1 wins. However, those were races that were not part of the championship, so his official grand prix win came until June 17th 1962 at Belgian Grand Prix, where Clark drove Lotus 25 R1.
