In 1986, Lola's new car THL2 would use Ford-Cosworth engine, while their 1985 car THL1 used Hart engine. But Lola started the season with THL1 old cars, so this car was modified to use the Ford-Cosworth engine. It still bears the original engine today. The car had been under restoration for 16 years, and it had its first test run in 40 years in May 2025.
