Information
Miraculously survived from a heavy crash. During 1988 Mexican GP qualifying, Philippe Alliot lost control while riding on a curb, the car turned sharply to the wall, hit it heavily, turned over and slipped across the track upside down. The driver was unharmed, but the team had to work hard to rebuilt the car, as they didn't have a spare car at Mexico because Philippe Alliot crashed too in previous race at Monaco. But the monocoque itself being undamaged was still a surprise because at that time monocoque damage in such heavy crashes was quite often.
