Lister Storm GT

Information

Chassis GTM-005 was built in early 2001 and campaigned as a factory entry by Lister Racing in the FIA GT Championship from 2001 to 2003. Notable drivers included Julian Bailey, Nicolaus Springer, Bobby Verdon-Roe, Paul Knapfield, Miguel de Castro, David Sterckx, Justin Law, Jamie Campbell-Walter, and Nathan Kinch.

2001: Driven by Bailey and Springer, GTM-005 secured two 4th-place finishes (Hungaroring and A1 Ring).

2002: Driven by Verdon-Roe and Knapfield, the car finished 2nd at Silverstone, and placed 2nd in the Spa 24 Hours, driven by Verdon-Roe, de Castro, Sterckx, and Law.

2003: Achieved a win at Anderstorp (Campbell-Walter/Kinch). The car also won at Oschersleben but was later disqualified. A 2nd place at Monza contributed to the team's 2nd place in the FIA GT Championship standings.

In 2005, GTM-005 was sold to Red Racing (France) and competed in the FFSA GT Championship with Lister factory backing. It won at Pau, but later crashed in qualifying at Albi. The car was rebuilt using the original chassis of GTM-001, which had been retained by Lister after a 2004 crash and was never previously repaired.

In 2006, Red Racing continued to race the rebuilt car in the FFSA GT Championship. After its final racing season, GTM-005 was restored in 2007 2008, returning to its 2003 Anderstorp-winning livery. It appeared at the 2008 Goodwood Festival of Speed, its only outing since.

The car is currently in late 2003 specification, with a later Jaguar V12 engine, Hewland sequential gearbox, updated front suspension, and bodywork. The engine has very low hours post-2006 overhaul. It is in running condition, offered with the original damaged GTM-005 chassis and a set of spare rims.
