Information

Last LC2 chassis built as a request from Gianni Musatto to be used in the 1991 WSC season. The chassis was bought back by Alfa Corse prior to that in 1987 to be used as a test bed for a 3.5L naturally-aspirated Alfa Romeo V10 engine from the 164 Procar to be fitted in the upcoming Alfa Romeo SE 048SP Group C 3.5L race car. That would never happen unfortunately, a Ferrari V12 being chosen instead.

This chassis was later sold in 2016 as part of the Duemila Ruote auction by RM Sotheby's with the rest of the collection as its then-owner was charged with tax evasion so his whole collection was auctioned away.

Modifications

Previously fitted with the Alfa Romeo 3.5L naturally-aspirated V10 from the 164 Procar for testing (late 1989)
