Information
Originally Verde Miura over Gobi, later painted blue, crashed, and restored in red.
Reportedly purchased in 1989 as a wreck from Porche Foreign Autos in Los Angeles by an Italian Collector. While the car was later restored, the front clip was left behind in Rudi Klein’s junkyard. It wasn’t until 2024 when the collection was liquidated by RM Sotheby’s that the original front structure was uncovered and sold alongside the Volkswagen Type 2 Single-Cab Pickup it rested in for decades. The lot sold for $56,000 USD on October 26th, 2024.
