The above engine only photo dates from Jan 2004 when offered for sale in Switzerland. The fate of car was unknown. The owner of engine writes: '1968/1970 LAMBORGHINI Miura S Engine #30453; Chassis #4386. The engine comes from a Miura S, originally delivered to UK, the previous owner (Garage Kumschick, the Lotus dealer near Lucerne) had 2 Miuras and bought 2 spare engines for his cars. He sold both cars many years ago, one buyer took the car with the spare engine the other only wanted to buy the car. Finally I bought the engine in mid Decembre. The engine is dry, complete except distributors, carburetors are there but empty, starter and and clutch bell are missing, as well as all plugs and plug wires. The engine has the following letters stamped on the block: P 21/05/1968 MZ 275 Heads: S1999 27/03/1969 D1482 01/08/1968 Asking price is around CHF 18,000, can be discussed.'
