The LM001 is the successor to the failed Cheetah prototype, featuring a rear mounted AMC 5.9l V8, making 180hp.
The rear engine placement and heavy weight of 2,100 kg (4,630 lb) led to poor perfomance and low handling, just like the original Cheetah, which led to the LM001 project being cancelled after a single unit was made.
