Information
One of supposedly 3 Mardikan SS versions.
Originally delivered RHD, later converted to LHD upon first owner moving the car from his Australia base to United States.
Originally delivered with Tobacco Lather, later changed to Pelle Crema and changed again to Pelle Senape.
Roof was removed and car was converted to Countach LP400 'Spider' - since then it has been restored to original form.
Delivered new to Australia on June 14th, 1977.
The first owner was Sir Rod Stewart, well-known musician & Lamborghini enthusiast.
Car was exported to USA in 1984.
Stewart commissioned Al Mardikan to convert it into a LP400S lookalike with the extensions moulded into the bodywork plus the targa roof, the Campagnolo wheels fitted, Tobacco Leather interior changed to Pelle Crema and converted to LHD.
Around 2002, the car was imported to UK - wheels were repainted to Gold and interior has changed to Pelle Senape.
The car was sold in 2013, and returned to original LP400 specification (remaining LHD).
