Information
During 2002 Austrian Grand Prix, Nick Heidfeld lost control under braking due to the problem of a new set of paddles. His C21 spun at a high speed and took off Takuma Sato's EJ12. The crash was so heavy that it punched a hole through the EJ12's monocoque and Sato's leg was visible from outside. Luckily both driver was unharmed. Heidfeld regarded this as the worst moment of his whole career. The EJ12 chassis was repaired and used as a spare tub later.
