Information
The Jensen P66 was a prototype grand tourer developed with the intention of replacing the outgoing Jensen CV8 and serving as the company’s new flagship model.
The P66 featured a lightweight aluminium body, Chrysler V8 power, and a sleek, modern design by Eric Neale. It was more refined and contemporary than the CV8, with smoother lines and a more luxurious interior.
However, internal disagreements within Jensen’s management led to the project’s cancellation before it entered production. Instead, Jensen chose to produce the Interceptor, designed by the Italian firm Carrozzeria Touring, which became one of the brand’s most iconic models.
Only two P66 prototypes were ever built: a convertible and the fixed-head coupe, which remains the only surviving model
