Information

3rd place at Le Mans 1957 and heavily crashed at Le Mans 1958, causing the death of Jean-Marie Brousselet. The car was later sent to Giovanni Michelotti in Turin to be fixed rebodied as a coupe, making its debut at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show in that form. The body was supposedly later mounted on an E-Type chassis instead and the D-Type chassis was restored to its original configuration. The D-Type made an appearance at the 2009 Amelia Concours while the Michelotti-bodied Jaguar was last seen at the 2014 Chantilly Arts & Elegance.

Modifications

Previously rebodied into a coupe by Michelotti but got restored since
