Information
Honda RC-F1 2.0X, the third and last of Honda RC100 series F1 prototypes. After Honda stopped their engine supply programme in 1992, their engineers planned to build an F1 chassis on their own, which Honda hadn't been doing since the 1960s. During 1990s, Honda encouraged their staff to innovate and make their own projects, so the RC100 project was funded by Honda but with no technological support. As a result, engineers from Honda's road car department managed to build 3 F1 cars in total in their spare time. RC101B was made to adapt to the new safety rules in 1995.
